Top End Uranium Ltd was incorporated on 23 May 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of North Australian Diamonds Limited. Top End Uranium Ltd (“Top End”) is a uranium focussed exploration company which has Mineral Rights over a number of prospective uranium regions in the Northern Territory of Australia. Collectively these Mineral Rights cover over 34,000 km2 encompassing exploration licence applications for approximately 24,000 km2 and granted exploration licences for approximately 10,000 km2.
The Tenements over which the Company has obtained Mineral Rights encompass three key geographic project locations in the Northern Territory, being:
- Yambarra;
- McArthur South; and
- Arnhem Land.
The Arnhem Land project hosts geological similarities to the rich Athabasca Basin of Canada, where uranium deposits are present. The McArthur South project area comprises a mostly contiguous block of Tenements, situated in the southern McArthur Basin, some 120 km’s west of the Westmoreland uranium deposit. The Yambarra area comprises a group of 13 mostly contiguous tenements and tenement applications that lie along a major tectonic zone that links the Pine Creek Orogen, one of Australia’s recognised mineral fields, to the Halls Creek Mobile Belt, which is also host to major mineral occurrences.
Large proportions of the Project Tenements have not been explored for uranium since the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when exploration techniques were less developed than they are presently. All areas have the potential to host uranium mineralisation and will benefit from the application of modern exploration methods and concepts to be implemented by the Company.
The primary goal for the Company will be to generate shareholder value through uranium exploration success and future development opportunities.
